2000 mile record for Ultra runner Scott

Scott Jurek has capped an amazing career with one of the most impressive records of all time. The 41 year old vegan has completed the Appalachian Trail which crosses 14 US states, covers 2189 miles and includes height gain of 160,000 metres.

Cycle challenge successfully completed

Three vegans have completed a nine-day challenge to cycle the UK. The three – all accomplishment in sport – cycled the 970 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats, finishing successfully.

Tournament win for Tia!

March saw GVAs youngest athlete Tia Blanco compete the Ron Jon Jr event. The Florida tournament was sanctioned by the Association of Surfing Professionals and offered points towards qualification for the Junior Pro World Championships. The junior competition was open to surfers who had not reached their 21st birthday.
