Veteran vegan races and writes
Veteran athlete Ellen Jaffe Jones has been as busy as ever with an appearance at the National Senior Games and her continued interest in writing.
She competed at State level and was successful enough to qualify her for the national competition in Birmingham, Alabama. Now competing in the 65-69 category, Ellen entered the sprint events . She considers herself more of a middle and long distance runner, and now with 117 age group placings in 5k or longer. She took 18th in the 100 metres, 16th in the 50 metres and 14th in the 200 metres.
Ellen has been asked to speak at the Summerfest Vegan festival were she will talk about her last book, ‘Vegan Fitness for Women’ which she writes from her position as an accomplished vegan athlete and certified personal trainer.
She’s also released a further book, which tackles sexual health in both men and women. ‘Vegan Sex’ covers maintaining health and boosting endurance to avoid health issues which may affect them and their sex lives.
