Vegan fencer takes title and retains world #1 ranking
The 30 year old is Hong Kong’s most successful fencer of all time.
Vivian Kong has won the Doha Épée Grand Prix.
She was one of the 128 entrants in the event, competing in a knock-out format. Vivian won a closely contested final to take the title. The win means she retains her #1 global ranking.
Vivian turned vegan in 2017 after an injury.
“I wanted to recover faster. I kept Googling what foods to eat to recover quickly” she says.
