Vegan armwrestler takes 22nd world title
The 90 kg Bulgarian also has 26 European Gold medals.

Superstrong Sasho Andreev has added to his medal collection with two more Golds from the WAF World Armwrestling Championships.
The Bulgarian competed in the 90 kg category which started with a group stage, and came away with Gold in both the left and right handed competitions.
Competing since 2013, Sasho now has an incredible record of 22 Gold from World Championships and 26 at European Championships.
Sasho eats vegan after an experiment in 2019 in which he cut out meat. He continues to build muscle on his stocky frame and much of his protein is from pulses and rice.
“I try to eat one of the three almost every day” he says of his appetite for peas, beans and lentils. On a typical day he eats “lentils, beans, peas, rice, potatoes, vegetable soup or salad, olives, nuts, fruits” as part of a mainly wholefood diet, often adding a vegan bar or chocolate. Bread and avocado are often in his kitchen too.
