PlantBuilt take veganism to bodybuilding
Vegan advocacy group PlantBuilt have grown impressively over the last few years and is now looking for your help as they look to take their message forward this year.
After forming in 2012 the group of bodybuilders competed at the Naturally Fit Super Show in Texas and took 40% of trophies. They have since expanded with more vegan athletes joining the team and adding more first places to their achievements.
Now they are global and include 42 athletes from all over the world and are planning to again compete at ‘Naturally Fit’. All members are ethical vegans and PlantBuilt are proud of the impact they have in proving the suitability of a vegan diet in a sport where animal products are sometimes considered essential. They seek out opportunities to speak at local events and to media.
PlantBuilt is run by unpaid volunteers, and athletes cover almost all of their costs. Now they are fundraising to help international competitors with their costs, and to enable them to donate to farm sanctuaries. They aim to give 60% of funds raised to small sanctuaries around the world.
Anyone who donates $10 or more will receive a thankyou pack, with some impressive packages available for larger contributions.
You can also help by sharing details about this incredible vegan advocacy group on social media.
We will keep you posted and let you know how PlantBuilt get on, although you may want to follow them on social media or visit their website.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
