Plant-powered Chev Clarke takes National title
The vegan fighter remains unbeaten as he took the British crown.
Cheavon Clarke faced British Cruiserweight champion Ellis Zorro, a fighter with 17 wins from 18 fights. The two were well matched in terms of reach, build and age, although Clarke was many people’s tip for the win after some explosive wins.
Cheavon was frustrated for much of the match before finding form in the sixth round and finishing it by stopping Zorro with a flurry of powerful punches at the end of the seventh.
This gives him the British title to add to his IBF International title. He’s now won all nine of his pro fights with seven stoppages. He’s known for his energy and workrate.
Vegan
The Jamaican born Londoner decided in 2018 he was “done with meat, dairy, all of that.” He says quicker digestion means he can train more and recover better.
“I know it works for me. And there’s other people that say it works for them and that’s all that matters.”
“I’m sure if other people try it, it will work for them as well”.
