National title #7 for vegan figure skate sensation
The double world champions (Meagan was also Great Vegan Athlete of the Year 2016) put in a predictably strong performance to win by a large margin.
Meagan Duhamel entered her last Skate Canada with an incredible record behind her. Planning to retire after this season, the Canadian vegan and her partner Eric Radford have won this event six times before.
As they say goodbye to the National competition which they have given so much too, already many are talking about the Winter Olympics in South Korea. As well as being a fitting end to an amazing career, Meaghan has a family connection to the host country.
Meagan’s much loved dog Mootai was rescued from the meat industry and flown out to his permanent home with her in Toronto. We will, of course, keep you posted.
