Bill McCarthy is a powerlifter we have profiled on our site.

In December 2013 he entered the American Open, one of the largest meets of the year, to compete. Bill squatted 323kg and benched 216kg before finishing with a deadlift of 280kg. This earned him a joint first in his weight class and placed him as 2nd overall out of 250 competitors at this high standard event.
Bill continues to coach as well as training, and performances like this show he continues to prove he is a world class powerlifter.
