Amanda Riester wins in Illinois
Amanda Riester has won first place in her category at the OCB Midwest States Bodybuilding and Figure contest.

The former women’s amateur boxing champion competed in Illinois in the Open category, which is for experienced competitors (not novices). She was immediately interviewed by Midwest Muscle TV, which asked her about her vegan diet.
Amanda has recently been diagnosed with Celiac disease which prevents her from digesting wheat products, which has meant big changes to her eating. She has now adjusted with the help of her sponsors Garden of Life, who supply vegan, gluten free protein powders.
She’s also been furthering her animal communication work and has been featured on MSN TV and front page of a regional newspaper for her work with rescued farm animals.
