World record for vegan rower!
The record is for 10,000 metres for lightweight women in her age group (19-29). “I’ve done this workout a bunch before,” she told us soon afterwards “but I’ve had a solid training run and been seeing improvements across the board. I took about 20 seconds off my previous best, which was awesome.” The new record stands at 40.36.2.

The record was broken almost accidentally as Michaela was just completing a hard workout as part of a regular training plan.
She was also recovering from a cold, so had been eating greens, berries and citrus fruits in addition to the usual diet which is fruit, grains and vegetable based.
When we heard from Michaela she’d just received her two certificates (for the US and world records) so is pleased to be officially recognised.
