Season finale sees four medals for British bodybuilder
Julia Hubbard has been competing again, this time at the pinnacle event of the IPL (International Physique League) season. She competed against other athletes in Sacremento, California, who had like Julia, won or placed at IPL shows during the year.

Julia entered her vegan physique into four categories: Figure, Athletic, Sports Model and Evening Gown. She won Gold in Evening Gown and second in the other three.
“It was the toughest comp I’ve been in this year so I'm happy” said the British vegan afterwards. Incredibly the result could have been even better, as she came close to taking more Golds. She was four points from Gold in Athletic and just two away in the Sports Model category.
Julia qualified easily, just weeks ago winning Gold in all four categories in the IPL South West Grand Prix and won them all. However, she plans to go further next year. "Placing so high in all four I seriously can’t be too disappointed" she says "although I'm fired up to turn those results around next year.”
This adds to her successes this year which include a win at the UNBA Universe as well as several other wins and second places.
This marks the end of the season for Julia, although there’s no time to rest. As an accomplished sprinter in the Masters category, she can look back on her competition season as she moves into her athletics seson.
“It was the toughest comp I’ve been in this year” she told us “so I'm happy and can go into my athletics season now!”
