Runner covers 930 km to take the win and record
He averaged 97 miles per day to take the win!

Budjargal Byambaa has returned to the track in Japan to win a race in his favourite format – fixed term multiple days.
The Hirosaki race attracted a high quality field set to challenge Mongolian Budjargal. The race followed a 1250 metre loop and Budjargal completed 745, winning by almost 20 km. The total of 931.4 km (581 miles) was the latest in 22 wins at the 6 and 10 day time limits.
The determined runner also took another accolade as he broke the Asian record for the format.
Budjargal has also been 48 hour world champion, and some of his wins have been course records. Last year he joined the elite group of runners who finished the Sri Chinmoy 3100 mile race.
Vegan
Budjargal has been vegan since January 2019, a move he made in search of better bodily strength. A deeply spiritual man, he stresses the mental and spiritual aspects of running, and says vegan helped him find his inner strength.
He’s primarily raw vegan, and eats large amounts of fruit and nuts. During races Budjargal often eats avocados, bananas, coconut meat, grapes, oranges, mandarins, apples, kiwi, berries, pears and mangoes. To hydrate he often drinks fresh coconut juice.
Of his latest win, Budjargal says “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who believes in me and supports me! Your emotional support and support has become a force to raise Mongolia’s name in the world.”
