Masters athlete Ellen achieves national success
Senior athlete Ellen Jaffe Jones has been competing this year again.
She competed at County and State level in a number of events and managed to qualify for the Nationals in Cleveland. There she made the national top 20 in four separate short and middle distance events. She was 19th in the 100 metres and 16th in the 200 metres. Ellen placed 10th in the 400 metres and her best placing was 7th in the 1500 metres.
Ellen competes in the W60-64 age category. She’s also been training longer distances and recently completed a half marathon, placing in the top 3.
This comes on top of other commitment as she has two more books scheduled over the next two years.
