Luca Anacoreta Claims Another Gold as the AJP Tour Hits Greece
The AJP Tour rolled into Greece this week, and once again the vegan Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master rose to the challenge with trademark precision and composure.
Competing in the Black Belt Master 2 – 85 kg division, Luca delivered another flawless performance, finishing both of his matches by submission to secure yet another Gold medal.
This victory adds to an already dominant season. Luca has also taken Gold in the Bologna and Pisa stages of the tour, along with the prestigious Masters Jiu-Jitsu European title, reinforcing his status as one of the most consistent and technically sharp competitors on the circuit.
Luca has been vegan since 2015, a decision he says was inspired by the success of other plant‑powered athletes. “I was drawing inspiration from other vegan athletes,” he explains. “I’ve always been an animal lover, so at a certain point I wanted to change.”
More than a decade into his competitive career, Luca continues to prove that elite performance and compassionate living can go hand in hand — and with his current momentum, the season is far from over.
