Cam fights for yet another national title
Cam has already achieved so much in boxing with over a dozen US titles. This year he faced enormous disappointment when he failed to qualify for the Olympics. It lead to a change in direction for him as he started motivational speaking – but he hasn’t forgotten boxing.
As 2016 closed he fought for his fifth USA Boxing title. Supported and anticipated by a large chunk of the crowd, Cam fought late on the Saturday night of the tournament.
The first round was cagey before Cam attacked in the second, which his opponent Blake Davies had little reply for. He was a clear winner winning 5-0, making a victory lap with an American flag that he insisted was a cape.
The win has lead to speculation about the future for the Awesome Kansas heavyweight. Now spending more time in stand up comedy he dabbled with as well as committing to his motivational speaking, setting sights on the 2020 Olympics may be a step too far. The win is his fifth US National title which he adds to three National Golden Gloves titles, three PAL National titles the 2016 Olympic trials championship, five Ringside Worlds titles and numerous overseas accolades.
For now the hard-hitting vegan will be known for his entertaining boxing which has landed him another title.
