The Cheo Aponto cup came soon after the US Golden Gloves competition in which Cam won Silver.
The quarter final draw gave Cam a bye to the Semi where he was drawn against the #1 rated Puerto Rico fighter. On hearing he was going to have to fight Cam, the local man pulled out and decided not to proceed in the competition!
In the final he faced Bahaman Mayor Kieshno and won a unanimous decision, 3-0.
