Cam Awesome boxes the world’s best
Super heavyweight boxer Cam Awesome has just taken on the most challenging tournament in his sport when he travelled to Kazakhstan for the Elite World Championships.
Vegan Cam was part of a complete US team and started his campaign when he faced Argentinean no.1 Facundo Ghiglione. The fight went the distance and Cam won a points decision unanimously.
Next Cam was unlucky to be drawn against world no1 Magomedrasul Medzhidov of Azerbaijan. This was extremely tough and the fight again went the distance, this time Cam lost the decision. It was said to be a strong performance by both boxers and one judge had just one point between the two men.
Following this tournament Cam has now ranked 9th in the world.
