Awesome tournament for Cam in Poland
Cam’s hectic year continued in Poland where he fought in Kielce. The tournament was in memory of the three times European champion, bronze Olympic medallist known as ‘Wizard of the ring’, Leszek Drogosz.
Twenty nine national teams arrived and on the first day Cam beat Ukrainian Ivan Kozlovskyi 3-0 by unanimous decision. He had the same result on the next day against Nascimento of Brazil, which put him against another Ukrainian, Horodetskyi, and again he won by unanimous decision.
This placed him in the final against Polish superheavyweight Roger Hryniuk who had beaten two of his countrymen in unanimous wins to meet Awesome in the final. All three of the judges (two of who were Polish) awarded Cam the win and his 5th international Gold of the season.
This was Cam’s 9th tournament of the year including domestic and international ones, and he has won 41 of 44 fights in 2014.
