Running 24 hours on fruit to smash course record!

Budjargal Byambaa has had little time to recover from his win at the 48 hours World Championship. The Mongolian runner has put in another incredible performance at the 24-hour event at the Pawling Trail Running Festival.

The race follows a 1.7 mile (2.7 km) loop which includes 160 ft (49 metres) of height gain. The record stood at 93 miles.

Budjargal put in a determined run to win comfortably with 105 miles, taking the win and smashing the course record.

The 40-year-old has been vegan since January 2019, a move he made for reasons of health and athletic performance. He eats large amounts of fruit, and during this race only drank fruit juice.
