Paralympic Silver for Sarah

In her third Paralympics Sarah Stewart picked up her third medal and second Silver in London.

Mirko wins in Japan

British-born Sensei Buchwald travelled to Japan for the event of the year as far as Goju Ryu karate is concerned – the  Budo Sai.  He was invited to take part in full contact competition, which he agreed to.

Joni hits the Finnish finals

Joni Purmonen qualified for the finals of Finland's Strongest Man (<105kg category), competing in May 2012.


The competition included 17 competitors, after three events the top performers would proceed to the remainder of the finals.


Joni got off to an excellent start with a 6th place in a loading race which used a wheelbarrow which by the end weighed about 350kg, and many competitors failed to complete the distance. Read More... “Joni hits the Finnish finals”

Meagan wins Gold in Canada!

Meagan Duhamel took part in the Canadian nationals this January, winning Gold after a successful routine with her partner Eric Radford. Although this is only their second season together they scored 129.19, which places them among the top teams internationally.

Fiona Oakes takes on ‘World’s Toughest Footrace’

In April 2012 Fiona Oakes will start Marathon des Sables.  As well as the heat, extreme terrain and distance, Fiona will have to carry water, all her food, supplies and clothing.

Jake Shields returned to winning ways with a convincing win over Judo expert Yoshihiro Akiyama.
