Vegan bodybuilder secures Olympia qualification
At 51 he won both the 40+ Masters and Open age categories in the tightly contested Physique competition

Olympia is considered by many to be the peak of the bodybuilding calendar. The legendary competition has been running since 1965 and qualification is tough.
Torre Washington has made it a goal to secure a place, and has done exactly that with a fantastic win at the Ben Weider Pro Am. The competition is an IFBB Pro Card competition and Torre has tasted success there before.
The 51 year old entered in the Masters 40+ Physique Category, facing men ten years younger than him. He also entered the Open age category, facing rivals younger again.
Incredibly he won both, beating eleven elite in the Open category.
Torre has been vegan since 1998, coming to the lifestyle without hearing the term vegan before. He was drawn to it through Rastafarianism.
“My commitment to being vegan is to share with the world how human beings can exist holistically with all beings and not only survive, but thrive as a vegan” he told our site.
Already a legend of veganism and bodybuilding, Torre’s incredible physique is built through plants, hard work and intelligent training. He’s a sought after personal trainer and has trained high profile actors as well as bodybuilders.
