Records fall to vegan power at the World Championships
Swedish powerhouse Fia Kamlund has taken on her last competition of the year, and recorded more success.

Competing in the ~84 kg, she followed up her recent national squat record with a 235 kg lift. This was a new Swedish record and personal best by 5kg.
She Bench pressed 165 kg (matching her personal best and taking competition Bronze). Fia then deadlifted 195kg. Her total of 595 kg was a new Swedish record and personal best.
“I had such an amazing competition. Had a balance problem on the first squat, but knew exactly what to do to solve it and in the end a weight that I have wanted to do for so long.
“In the bench it was total revenge from the Swedish Championships and my first medal at a World Cup in powerlifting.
“In the deadlift we went for bronze in the total in the last, didn’t go this time but it’s the first time I’m up there and challenging for an overall medal.”
“What a hell of a competition year” says Fia. “All the years in the gym are starting to pay off. Just keep going, the best is yet to come. Towards the future.”
