Record broken as lifter returns from injury
The massive squat comes after a back injury this year - and Fia feels more is to come.

Fia Kamlund has been continuing to move massive weights as she competes at the European Equipped Powerlifting Championships.
The Swedish vegan broke the Swedish record for the ~84kg with a monster squat of 237.5 kg. Her 155 kg bench was a competition Silver – and she feels there’s room to improve. Fia then deadlifted 180 kg to secure a 572.5 kg total and fourth in Europe.
Fia didn’t feel she lifted to her potential. “I have to take with me that in February I couldn’t put on my socks myself because my herniated disc hurt…So maybe I can be happy after all.”
Dr Kamlund turned from vegetarian to vegan in 2012 “when I realised the connection between meat industry and how they treated animals also in milk and egg industry I went vegan.”
Since then she’s taken multiple national titles and had great international results.
