Blistering run at National Championships gives vegan the win
The win marked his 51st National title.
We have to admit we had lost track of how many national title Andreas Vojta had. He was aiming to collect another at the Tattandorf 10k which was also the National Championships.
Andreas ran in to win in 29:57, one of only five runners under 31:00 to collect national title #51.
The Olympian has been vegan since 2018, changing for ethical and environmental reasons.
“I try to eat a wide variety of food” he says “and when you become vegan you find out there is such a great range of plant foods you never even tried before. I try to eat natural foods so I’m not a fan of processed meat or cheese substitutes.
“I would say my main formula is: whole grains, legumes, veggies and nuts and seeds – and all kinds of fruits for a snack.”
