Back on Top: Kristen Wins Two Golds, Reclaims World Number One Ranking
A resurgent performance piles on the world ranking points and adds medals to her collection.

Kristen Santos-Griswold showed devastating form at the World Tour to take two Golds and reclaim world #1 ranking.
Last year she had an incredible season, ending a nine-year USA medal drought at the World Cup as she took five Gold.
This year she won the 1500 metre comfortably, then returned two hours later to win a close 500 metre race.
“Last year was obviously a really amazing year for me, and it was a little bit like I could get out in front and leave some space and take advantage of that, but this year, everyone has been right there,” Santos-Griswold said in an interview with the International Skating Union.
Kristen has been vegan since 2018 as a lifelong vegetarian.
“I’ve always loved animals so much and don’t want to contribute to anything that could be harmful to them. When I switched to a fully plant-based diet, I also began feeling just overall so much better and began skating better too” she told us in a previous interview.
