John Salley
John Salley was the first player to win the championship with three different basketball teams.
Playing power forward and center, the 6'11" (2.11m) player was known for breaking records in terms of blocking shots. He started playing in 1986 and has been vegetarian since 1990. In 2000 he retired and has had a successful career as a talk show host and actor.
In 2008 he became fully vegan and has been outspoken in support of a vegan diet and elimination of factory farming. "I'm John Salley and I'm a vegan. I'm a vegan because I'm only four pounds heaver than I was in 1989."
