Aaron Simpson

Aaron ‘A-Train’ Simpson is a Mixed Martial Artist and wrestling specialist. He has fought at middleweight for years, and in 2012 announced a move down in weight to Welterweight.

 

In high school Aaron won four state wrestling championships, fighting 143 times and winning all but one. He then went on to University and wrestled for Arizona State University (ASU), winning more titles. He was the Pioneer Athletic Association (PAC10) Champion on several occasions, Pan American Silver Medalist. He joined the USA National Team and took 4th place at the 2004 Olympic Trials.

 

At the time of writing (July 2012) Aaron’s record is 12 wins and 3 losses from 15 fights – 6 wins are from knock outs. Career highlights include an 18 second knockout of David Avellan in 2008, ‘Knockout of the Night’ award in 2009 against Tim Mackenzie and ‘Fight of the Night’ award when he beat Tom Lawlor in January 2010.

 

Aaron and his wife have both been vegetarian for many years and in 2012 he announced his decision to go vegan.

 

“It’s an animal rights thing with me more than anything, I just have an issue with killing animals and cruelty. So that’s mostly the reason but it’s the healthiest lifestyle.”
