At 6'3" and 116kg Georges is an imposing figure on the ice and was a respected player in the Canadian national league. Now retired, he played in the Canadian National league for Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers before retiring in 2010. He played the tugh position of Enforcer and was known as an energetic and assertive player. As the victim of racist abuse as a childhood player, George was quick to react on the ice when confronted and was known as a player who was prepared to fight - and generally won!
Vegan Ice Hockey Players
Vegan since age 18, Andreas has become established in the highest level of the Swiss National League. He won the league title with SC Bern. He was vegan for all of his career except his first season, and in his last season was the oldest player in the team. Now retired, he has since managed the Swiss national U18 team.
Michael has been a professional ice hockey player since 2001, and played as a forward for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also played for Toronto Marlies and Rochester Americans before retiring in 2014. He turned vegan in 2011 and was known for his community work and involvement with fans. Read more here.
